CPA, Syr. ܚܐ܂ ܚܐܬܐ ; pl. ˀaḥwān, ˀaḥwāṯā even in those dialects that lose the initial syllable in the singular; JLAtg abs. and var. for "my sister" : אֲחָת ; CPA emph./suff. usually without initial aleph.

OfA also ˀn$h. In Syriac and CPA the nun is not pronounced but assimilated to the taw, which is thus lengthened. In CPA it is (usually?) not written, hence: abs. ܐܿܬܐ , emph ܐܬܐ

pl. nšyn, nšyˀ; Mand. sg. abs.! atuat; the original taw was spirantized, as in Syriac, but apparently was not so in all dialects
