The plural varies: in the physical senses it takes the masculine (originally dual!) ending ˁaynē,but in the metaphorical senses the fem. ending (e.g. ˁaynān, ˁaynāṯā) is usual. The W.Syr. absolute is ˁīn. For a possible Syriac form ܥܲܢܵܐ see BarB 1444:18.
