קצץ (o) vb. to cut off, cut down, stipulate a fee (→ קוצצה , קץ , קצוץ , קצץ ; CPA ܩܨ LSp 182, SA קצץ Ham 463:131) Pe. 1. to cut off, cut down: a. trees: תקצון TN Dt 20:19; ib. 20 [H תכרת ]; יקצון FTV Num 11:26; פוק קוץ מה דנטה גו רומייה go cut (the tree branches) which lean over into (the property of) the Roman BB 13c(36); למיקוץ TN Dt 19:5; וקצית חד חרוב I cut down a carob tree Sot 17b(16) // קצת Pea 20a(57); b. vegetables: והוה קצץ תורמסא he would cut off a lupine BR 943:1; c. hand: ותקצון ית כף ידיה TN Dt 25:12 [H וקצתה ]; 2. to stipulate a fee, etc.: קוץ כען אגרך stipulate your wage ib.
